Info - results, entry lists, and meet schedule for the 2025 Albie Thomas Mile:
The Albie Thomas Mile is an annual track event established in 2014 to honor the late Albie Thomas, a renowned Australian middle-distance runner who set world records in the 2-mile and 3-mile events during the 1950s and was the first person to run a sub-four-minute mile in New South Wales. Traditionally held in December, the 2025 edition has been rescheduled to February 20, 2025, to align more prominently with the Athletics Australia domestic season calendar.
The event is organized by the Bankstown Sports Athletics Club in collaboration with Athletics NSW and takes place at The Crest Athletics Track in Bass Hill, managed by Canterbury Bankstown Council. The track, originally grass, was resurfaced with Rekortan in the late 1990s and is open for training from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday to Thursday
