The 129th Boston Marathon is scheduled for Monday, April 21, 2025, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of Patriots' Day, a Massachusetts state holiday commemorating the start of the American Revolutionary War. This historic race, organized by the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.), is the world's oldest annual marathon and one of the six World Marathon Majors.
