The Cursa dels Nassos is an annual road race, featuring 5km and 10km events, held in Barcelona on December 31st, marking the city's final sporting event of the year. The 2024 edition is set to be the largest in its 26-year history, with all 12,000 available spots filled, surpassing the previous record of 11,450 participants in 2013.

This year's event features two main races:
5K International Elite Race: Scheduled for 4:20 PM, this race includes top international athletes. Notably, Beatrice Chebet, double gold medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympics and last year's winner with a world record time of 14:13, will compete alongside runners like Medina Eisa and Melknat Wudu, aiming to set new records.
10K Popular Race: Starting at 5:15 PM, this race is open to the public and has reached its capacity of 12,000 participants. Female participation has reached a record 35%, with over 4,000 women registered.
The race course is known for being fast and flat, making it suitable for runners aiming to achieve personal bests. The 10K route is marked every 500 meters and includes 29 pacers to assist runners in maintaining their desired pace.
