It's described as a "laboratory" where athletics meets innovation, emphasizing experimental changes in rules and equipment to enhance the spectator experience and athlete performance.

Innovations and Events
The Track Lab will feature several unique modifications across different disciplines:
- Reaction Times: Traditional false starts are eliminated by setting the reaction time threshold to 0.000 seconds.
- Track and Field Events: Technologies will measure actual jump distances in long jump and the highest point cleared in pole vault, regardless of whether the bar is knocked off.
- Javelin: Only the best throw after the first attempt counts, adding a strategic element to the competition.
- Team Events: Athletes will compete in teams, which are formed through a draw the night before the event. This team aspect adds a new layer of strategy as team members aim to complement each other’s strengths.

The event starts at 16:00 with the opening of the meeting, followed by a series of races and field events, concluding with an awards ceremony at 18:00. Key events include the men's 200m and 400m, women's 100m hurdles and long jump, and innovative races like the "Steeple Mile."
