Texas Tech is hosting the 2022 Big 12 XC Championships at the Chaparral Ridge Cross Country Course in Lubbock, Texas on Friday, October 28. The women's 6,000 meter race will begin at 10 a.m. CT (GMT -5) followed by the men's 8,000 meter race at 11 a.m. CT.

Oklahoma State is the reigning men's and women's champions after taking its second successive and 11th total men's title and third overall women's championship last season in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

The men have two Big 12 teams ranked in NCAA Division 1 Men’s Cross Country Poll. Oklahoma State is ranked No. 4. The women also have two teams ranked inside the women’s national coaches’ poll with Oklahoma State at No. 3 and West Virginia ranked No. 28.
