The 40th edition of the Roy Griak Cross Country Invitational will take place on Friday and Saturday, September 18–19, at Fort Snelling Golf Course in Minnesota. Hosted by the University of Minnesota, the two-day meeting features collegiate races on Friday followed by eight high-school competitions on Saturday.
The entire meeting will be streamed live on Big Ten Plus and RunnerSpace+, with a paid subscription required for the live broadcast and on-demand replays. The live coverage is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. US Central Time (GMT -5) on Friday, while the live action on Saturday will kick off at 8:45 a.m..

Saturday, September 19 – High-school races
Leading programs include Minnesota, Iowa State and Boise State. Other participating teams include North Dakota State, St. Thomas, Minnesota State, Winona State, Wisconsin–La Crosse, Valparaiso, Northern Michigan in the women’s race, and several NCAA Division II, Division III, junior-college and running-club programs.
Both Minnesota teams won the Cyclone Preview earlier in September. Ali Weimer led the Minnesota women by winning the 5K in 16:15.3, while Emmett Gerres placed third to guide the men’s team to victory. Iowa State’s nationally ranked squads are expected to provide a stronger test at the Griak Invitational.

Leading individual contenders include Tyrus Needles, Keegan Decker, Faith Sundet, Brianna Reilly, Hannah Genrich, Charlee Gall, Sadie Pettengill and Brynlee Wegener.
