Approximately 14,000 runners will take to the streets of Porto on Sunday, September 13, for the sold-out 2026 Hyundai Porto Half Marathon. Starting at 9:00 a.m. local time, the 21.1km race will showcase the city’s spectacular Atlantic and Douro waterfronts, taking competitors through historic Ribeira and across the iconic Luís I Bridge into Vila Nova de Gaia before returning to the finish on Avenida de Dom Carlos I.

Race-day schedule

• 9:00 a.m. – Hyundai Porto Half Marathon start
• Approximately 9:59 a.m. – Expected arrival of the first finishers
• 12:00 p.m. – Course closes

Starting-group access gates are scheduled to open approximately 20 minutes before the race.

Course

The route starts on Avenida de Dom Carlos I, near Porto’s Atlantic waterfront, before taking runners through Foz do Douro and along the Douro River.

The race passes through Porto’s historic riverside district, crosses the Luís I Bridge into Vila Nova de Gaia, follows the Gaia waterfront, and then returns across the bridge. Runners finish back on Avenida de Dom Carlos I.
