The 2026 Commonwealth Games return to Glasgow from 23 July to 2 August, bringing together more than 3,000 athletes from 74 Commonwealth nations and territories for 11 days of world-class competition. Held across a compact network of existing venues first showcased during the acclaimed 2014 Games, this year's edition embraces a streamlined and sustainable format featuring 10 sports while preserving the event's rich sporting tradition. Athletics once again takes center stage, with the return of the mile to the programme, the inaugural women's mile, and an expanded para athletics schedule highlighting one of the Games' premier competitions.
