The 2026 Iron Wood Classic is one of the premier throws-only competitions in the United States and is part of the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze (Category C) and the USATF Tour. The meeting will take place from June 18–20 at the Iron Wood Throwers Center in Rathdrum, Idaho, with the World Athletics-ranking competitions scheduled for Thursday and Saturday.

The competition features shot put, discus, hammer throw, and javelin for both men and women. Thursday's program is a World Athletics F-level meeting, while Saturday serves as the higher-level Bronze meeting, offering World Rankings points and a $30,000 prize purse. Friday is reserved for athlete training, with the Throwers Center open throughout the day and a hosted cookout planned in the evening.

This year's edition has attracted a strong international field. According to local organizers, several former Olympians are expected to compete, and the meet continues to build on its reputation as a venue where world-class performances are produced. The facility famously hosted Valarie Allman's American discus record of 70.16m (230-2) in 2020.
