Italy’s leading early-season athletics meeting returns on May 20 as the welcomes another world-class lineup to the Centro Sportivo Fontanassa in Savona for the 15th edition of the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze meeting.

The event will be broadcast live on the Italian national sports channel Rai Sport from 15:45 to 19:00 local time.

The meeting is set to feature some of the biggest stars in Italian athletics, including Olympic 100m champion Marcell Jacobs, European sprint sensation Zaynab Dosso and European hurdles silver medallist Lorenzo Simonelli, who is expected to make his season debut in the men’s hurdles. Cuban sprinter Reynier Mena will also return looking for a fourth consecutive victory over 200 metres after running a meeting record 19.95 in Savona.

Another headline attraction will be the men’s 400m hurdles featuring Italian star Alessandro Sibilio, who set the meeting record of 48.44 at last year’s edition. In the field events, the spotlight will again fall on the men’s shot put, where Italian record holder Leonardo Fabbri owns the meeting record with his massive 22.95m throw from 2024.
