The Spec Towns Invitational returns to Athens, Georgia, from April 9–11, 2026, bringing together a strong lineup of NCAA Division I programs for one of the key early-season meets on the collegiate outdoor calendar. Hosted at Spec Towns Track, the three-day competition honors Olympic champion and legendary Georgia coach Forrest “Spec” Towns while providing athletes with a high-quality platform to chase early marks and build momentum.

The event will be streamed live on SEC Network+ via ESPN platforms, beginning Friday, April 10 at 4:00 PM (ET) and continuing Saturday, April 11 from 11:00 AM (ET).
The meet opens on Thursday with the decathlon and heptathlon, which continue into Friday before the main track and field program begins later that day. Saturday features a full slate of events, including sprints, hurdles, middle- and long-distance races, relays, and a complete field event schedule. With deep fields and competitive racing across disciplines, the invitational consistently delivers fast performances, particularly in the evening distance events.
