The 2026 Daegu Marathon is set to take place on Sunday, 22 February 2026, with the elite race set to start at 9:00 AM KST in Daegu, South Korea. The event holds World Athletics Gold Label status, reaffirming its position as one of Asia’s premier road races.
The marathon will once again begin at Daegu Stadium, guiding runners through a fast and scenic course across the heart of downtown Daegu before returning to the stadium for the finish. Known for its flat layout and competitive fields, the race has built a strong reputation for producing high-quality performances.

The event will be streamed live globally on the KBS YouTube channel. The live coverage is scheduled to start at approximately 8:50 am local time (GMT +9).
Organized by Daegu Metropolitan City and the Korea Association of Athletics Federations (KAAF), the event offers a substantial prize purse. First-place finishers in both the men’s and women’s international elite races will earn $200,000, with prize money extending deep into the top 10. Additional bonuses are available for record-breaking performances, including incentives for world and national records.
