The Nagoya Women's Marathon returns for its 15th edition on Sunday, March 8, 2026, once again bringing together a world-class elite field and thousands of recreational runners in one of the most celebrated races on the international road running calendar. The race is schedule to start at 9:10 AM local time (GMT +9).

Held in Nagoya, the race is recognized as the largest women-only marathon in the world and carries World Athletics Platinum Label status. Approximately 20,000 women are expected to take part in the event, which traditionally attracts participants from dozens of countries along with many of Japan’s top distance runners.

How to Watch

The event will be broadcast live on the Nagoya Women's Marathon official website from 9:00 AM local time (GMT +9).

The marathon begins and ends at the Vantelin Dome Nagoya, with the race scheduled to start at 9:10 AM local time. The 42.195-kilometer course winds through the streets of the city, passing several major landmarks before returning to the dome for a dramatic indoor finish.

Known for its flat and fast layout, the Nagoya Women’s Marathon has produced numerous world-class performances and often serves as a key race on the international spring marathon calendar. The event is organized by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations together with the Chunichi Shimbun.

One of the race’s most distinctive traditions is the Baccarat crystal tumbler presented to every finisher, a symbol that has become closely associated with the event’s prestige and unique atmosphere.

With its combination of elite competition, massive participation, and strong international appeal, the 2026 Nagoya Women’s Marathon is once again expected to be one of the highlights of the global road running season.
