The 2026 Barcelona Half Marathon returns to the Catalan capital on Sunday, 15 February, bringing one of Europe’s fastest and most prestigious 21.097km races back to the streets of Barcelona. The race will start at 8:30 a.m. CET from Passeig Picasso, with runners navigating a flat, record-friendly course that showcases many of the city’s iconic avenues before finishing in the heart of the city.
Holding World Athletics Gold Label status, the event continues to attract elite international fields alongside a massive participation base. Organizers have confirmed a 36,000-runner capacity, with staggered wave starts based on declared pace to ensure smooth race flow.
