Distance runners take center stage this Saturday, January 24, as the annual Vinthundsvintern indoor meeting returns to Sollentuna Friidrottshall in Sweden, bringing a full afternoon of high-quality 3000m racing as part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour Challenger circuit.

How to Watch - Live Stream

The entire event will be streamed live for free worldwide on YouTube, with the coverage starting at 2:00 PM Central European Time (GMT +1).

Organized by FK Studenterna, the popular winter fixture has built a reputation as one of Scandinavia’s fastest early-season distance meets, with 14–18 timed heats designed to give athletes of all levels — from elite internationals to local club runners — a chance to chase personal bests and world ranking points. The event also holds World Ranking Competition (WRC) status, adding extra significance to the top races.

Competition begins at 14:15 with the women’s heats, followed by the men’s A section at 15:00, before a packed schedule of progressively seeded races runs into the evening. Mixed heats close out the program after 18:00. Admission to the meet is free, and fans worldwide can follow the action via the official livestream.

Several strong Scandinavian and international distance names are entered in the top sections, promising quick early-season times on the fast Sollentuna indoor track. Meet records stand at 7:41.6 in the men’s 3000m and 8:58.26 in the women’s event, marks that could be tested if pacing and conditions align.
