The main evening session is scheduled to begin at 19:30 local time (CET), featuring an elite international field in a unique, entertainment-driven format dedicated exclusively to the pole vault. Known for its electric atmosphere and innovative presentation, the meeting blends high-level competition with showmanship, bringing fans closer to the athletes and the action.
According to French Athletics, the event will be streamed live for free on the meeting organizer's YouTube channel. The live action is scheduled to start at 19:30 local time (GMT +1).
In the men’s competition, Baptiste Thiery arrives in strong form after already clearing 5.80m or higher three times this indoor season (5.80m in Paris, 5.84m in Caen, 5.82m in Roubaix). The French vaulter will target the 5.90m qualifying standard for the World Indoor Championships in Toruń — just one centimeter shy of his personal best set last year in Clermont-Ferrand. He faces formidable opposition, including six-meter vaulter Ernest John Obiena of the Philippines, Olympic silver medallist Christopher Nilsen, and in-form American Zach Bradford, who has consistently cleared 5.90m in all four of his 2026 competitions so far.
On the women’s side, Marie-Julie Bonnin headlines the field as she continues her winter campaign. The Stade Bordelais vaulter will once again attack the French record of 4.75m, which she currently shares with Ninon Chapelle. Bonnin’s season best stands at 4.70m, and she enters as the favorite, though she will be challenged by American Emily Grove, who owns the same personal best. France’s Emma Brentel, recently over 4.44m, is also one to watch.
