The Intersport Sylvestercross returns to the Lange Duinen in Soest, Netherlands, on Wednesday, 31 December 2025, once again providing a fitting finale to the European cross-country season. One of the Netherlands’ most iconic year-end races, the event combines elite competition with mass participation across a full day of racing.
Part of the World Athletics Cross Country Tour (Bronze level) and the Atletiekunie Cross Country Series, the Sylvestercross features a packed programme of youth, junior, senior, and masters races, alongside relays and recreational events. The undulating sandy terrain of the Lange Duinen offers a classic cross-country test, rewarding strength, balance, and tactical awareness.
Festivities begin a day earlier with the popular Sylvester by Night runs on 30 December, before the main competitive programme unfolds throughout New Year’s Eve, culminating in the headline Intersport Sylvestercross races for men and women.
