The 2025 Generali Málaga Marathon will take place on Sunday, 14 December, welcoming more than 22,000 athletes across the marathon and half marathon distances. Once again, Málaga transforms into one of Europe’s premier winter running destinations, drawing runners from over 90 countries, with international participants making up nearly two-thirds of the field.

The event will be streamed live for free worldwide on YouTube, with live coverage starting at 8:00 am local time (GMT +1).
Both the marathon and half marathon will start at 08:30 from the scenic Paseo del Parque, with marathoners finishing at the same location and half-marathoners completing their race nearby on Avenida Cánovas del Castillo, next to the iconic La Malagueta bullring. The redesigned course—flatter and more streamlined—offers ideal conditions for fast times, looping along Málaga’s historic landmarks, the port district, and long stretches of the Mediterranean coastline.
