The 47th Course de l’Escalade will return to the historic streets of Geneva on 6–7 December 2025, welcoming a record-breaking field of more than 57,000 registered runners for Switzerland’s largest and most iconic road race. The two-day festival of running once again takes over the city’s Vieille-Ville (Old Town), with its narrow cobbled streets, sharp climbs and technical descents creating one of Europe’s most atmospheric courses.

The event will be broadcast live on Léman Bleu TV, with coverage beginning at 10:30 CET on Saturday and resuming on Sunday from 15:10 CET (GMT+1).
Staged around the traditional hub of Parc des Bastions, the event features the classic 2-lap (4.8 km) and 3-lap (7.3 km) formats for adults and older juniors, along with a wide range of age-group races, team relays, and popular community events. Highlights include the FlexiMix run, allowing participants to choose their number of laps on the go, the festive Course de la Marmite in costumes, and the walking and Nordic walking categories that draw thousands each year.
Racing runs continuously from late morning into the evening on Saturday and resumes on Sunday from early morning, culminating with the Escaladélite elite races on Sunday afternoon. The looped course remains demanding, with up to 155 meters of climbing over the longest race, rewarding both strength and downhill control.
