The road to the Brooks XC Championships National Finals continues on Saturday, December 6, 2025, as top high-school runners from across the Western United States converge at the Brooks West Regional in Walnut, California. The event will once again take place at the iconic Hilmer Lodge Stadium at Mt. SAC, one of the nation’s most storied venues for distance racing.

The West Regional is a critical qualifier in the Brooks XC pathway, offering athletes the chance to advance to the national championships. The meet features multiple divisions—Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Open, and Championship races—allowing athletes of all grade levels to compete on one of the sport’s premier courses. The Championship races serve as the main qualifying avenue, with top finishers earning berths to the 2025 national finals.

The event is also known for its deep fields and fast racing, drawing talent from California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and other Western states. The Mt.
