Athletes will compete for a coveted chance to qualify for the Nike Cross Nationals (NXN), the sport’s premier team championship. With crisp late-autumn weather expected, Spokane’s flat, spectator-friendly layout should produce fast times and tight finishes across all divisions.
On the boys’ side, perennial powerhouse Jesuit (OR) headlines the field, returning much of its lineup from last season’s national-qualifying team. Coeur d’Alene (ID) and Boise (ID) are close behind, while Sehome (WA) and Rocky Mountain (ID) round out a strong top-five projection.
For the girls, Sehome (WA) and Rocky Mountain (ID) lead the regional conversation, both programs known for disciplined pack running and postseason consistency. Timberline (ID), Boise (ID), and Jesuit (OR) are also expected to contend for team berths to NXN.
Individually, watch for the frontrunners from Jesuit, Coeur d’Alene, and Sehome, who have posted dominant performances throughout their state meets. With the region’s depth and history of producing national podium teams, the 2025 NXR Northwest promises a thrilling weekend of elite racing and emerging talent in Spokane.
