The 2025 Marathon de La Rochelle Serge Vigot returns on Sunday, 30 November, bringing one of France’s most iconic and athlete-friendly road races back to the streets of the Atlantic coast. Now in its 34th edition, the event continues to attract thousands of runners to La Rochelle’s historic harbour, with its signature medieval towers, seaside views, and famously enthusiastic crowds lining the double-loop course.
The 34rd Marathon de La Rochelle will air live on France 3 Poitou-Charentes and France 3 Limousin from 8:55 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with coverage continuing on France 3 nationally from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. Fans can also follow the race via live updates and streaming on the event’s official website.

The main marathon starts at 9:00 a.m. from Quai Maubec and Quai Durand, offering a flat and fast 42.195km route ideal for personal bests. Runners cover two nearly identical 21.1km loops that weave through the Vieux-Port, charming old town sectors, coastal stretches, and shaded parks. A 10km race kicks off the morning at 8:45 a.m., while popular relay formats — the Marathon Duo and the Corporate Challenge (4-person relay) — share the marathon start.
