Elite Runners:
This year’s race once again features world-class elite fields. Four-time champion Weini Kelati headlines the women’s lineup as she chases an extraordinary fifth consecutive victory, building on her course record of 22:55. She will be joined by 2025 World Championships 1500m silver medalist Dorcus Ewoi, as well as 1500m Olympic bronze medalist Jenny Simpson, who returns to Manchester as part of a fitness-focused year of racing.
On the men’s side, defending champion Andrew Colley, who won in 21:09 last year, aims to fend off a deep field that includes Kenya’s Amon Kemboi, fresh off a win at the Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K, and Canadian Olympian Rory Linkletter, a top-four finisher in previous editions.
