The forests of Lidingö—just outside Stockholm—will come alive from 26–28 September 2025 as the TCS Lidingöloppet celebrates its 60th anniversary. Widely recognized as the world’s largest cross-country race, the event blends Swedish tradition with world-class running, drawing tens of thousands of participants and spectators alike.
Organizers anticipate one of the biggest turnouts in recent memory, with around 32,000 runners and 100,000 visitors expected over the weekend. The milestone underscores Lidingöloppet’s central role in Swedish sporting culture and its importance as the final challenge in En Svensk Klassiker.

The event will be broadcast live on YouTube, TV12 and TV4 Play (12:00–15:00 CEST).
The highlight is the legendary 30 km on Saturday, 27 September from 12:00–15:00 (CEST).
Across the weekend, runners of all ages and abilities will find their place. Distances include 15 km, 10 km, 5 km, as well as junior and veteran races, plus Sunday’s popular Pink Ribbon Runs (10 km and 4 km), which combine fitness with fundraising.

The Lidingö trails weave through forests and gravel paths, offering runners both beauty and challenge. The route is famed for its relentless undulation and iconic climbs like Abborbacken, which test endurance in the final stretch. Rhythm changes and careful pacing are essential for success.
