Sturm Graz

Sturm will have to overcome both the heavy first-leg deficit and a mounting injury list. Axel Kayombo (ankle), Alexandar Borkovic (ACL), and goalkeeper Daniil Khudyakov (wrist) are sidelined. Manager Christian Ilzer is expected to set up in a 4-3-1-2, with Oliver Christensen in goal, Lavalee and Karic in defence, Kiteishvili pulling strings in midfield, and Bøving alongside Grgić up front.

Bodø/Glimt

The Norwegians have injury problems of their own: Ole Didrik Blomberg and Jostein Gundersen remain unavailable, while defender Haitam Aleesami suffered a thigh injury in the first leg. Even so, Bodø/Glimt boast depth across the squad. Kjetil Knutsen may rotate slightly but is expected to retain his fluid 5-3-2, featuring the likes of Patrick Berg, Jens Petter Hauge, and striker Albert Grønbæk.

The Stakes

Sturm Graz face a monumental task to overturn a five-goal deficit. The Austrians will look to their home support for inspiration, but Bodø/Glimt’s relentless pressing and clinical finishing have already left a major mark on the tie.

Prediction

With a 5–0 cushion, Bodø/Glimt are overwhelming favourites to progress. Bookmakers give them the edge again on the night, with Sturm priced as outsiders despite playing at home. Expect Graz to push early, but the Norwegians’ counter-attacking quality should see them through comfortably—perhaps even with another win.

With Bodø/Glimt already in cruise control, the second leg in Klagenfurt looks set to confirm the Norwegians’ place in the Champions League group stage, barring a historic upset.
