The 2025 21K Buenos Aires half marathon is set for Sunday, 24 August, with more than 27,000 runners expected to take to the streets in Argentina’s capital. The race will start and finish at Av. Figueroa Alcorta and Av. Dorrego in Palermo, beginning at 8:00 a.m. local time (GMT -3).

The event will be streamed live for free worldwide on YouTube. The live coverage is scheduled to start at 7:15 AM local time (GMT -3).
The flat, fast route takes runners past some of Buenos Aires’ most iconic landmarks, including the Obelisco on 9 de Julio Avenue, Paseo Colón, and Av. Libertador, before looping back to Palermo. The course is fully closed to traffic, with extensive road closures announced across the city.
As one of South America’s premier road races and a World Athletics Label event, the 21K Buenos Aires continues to attract a strong elite field. Local stars Florencia Borelli and Daiana Ocampo are confirmed, while reports suggest Ugandan half marathon world record-holder Jacob Kiplimo may also line up.
