The 2025 USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships officially kicked off on July 21, at Savannah State University’s Ted Wright Stadium in Georgia. The prestigious youth event, running through July 27, brings together thousands of the nation’s best young athletes aged 7 to 18 for a full week of elite competition across sprints, distance events, hurdles, jumps, and throws.

This year’s championship follows weeks of intense regional qualifying meets held across the country. Standout performances have already emerged, including Nakoma Martin’s 15.96-second win in the U8 girls’ 100 meters at the Region 1 Championships in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Other regional qualifiers spanned from South Carolina to Washington, each feeding into the national event now underway in Savannah.
As one of the largest youth track and field meets in the world, the USATF Junior Olympics has served as a launching pad for numerous future Olympians and national champions since its inception in 1967. With national finals in most events scheduled from July 23 onward, excitement is building for what promises to be a thrilling showcase of America’s rising athletic stars.
