The 2025 Gold Coast Half Marathon, scheduled for Saturday, July 5, promises a thrilling blend of elite competition, flat coastal scenery, and personal best potential. As part of the prestigious Gold Coast Marathon weekend, the half marathon doubles as the Australian Half Marathon Championships, drawing top national and international talent to Southport’s Broadwater Parklands.

Starting at 6:15 am AEST, runners will take on a fast, scenic 21.1 km route heading north toward Paradise Point and back. The course is renowned for its flat profile and cool winter temperatures, helping over 60% of participants achieve personal bests.
This year’s championship race boasts a stacked elite field. Defending men’s champion Jack Buchanan returns to fend off rising contender Hayden Heyne. In the women’s field, Olympians and national stars—Leanne Pompeani, Sinead Diver, Izzi Batt-Doyle, Genevieve Gregson, and Jess Stenson—will compete for gold and national glory.
