The 2025 edition of the Meeting National Est Lyonnais (MNEL) takes center stage this Saturday, July 5, at Stade Raymond Troussier in Décines-Charpieu, Lyon. As part of the World Athletics Continental Tour – Challenger series, the MNEL has established itself as a premier venue for middle-distance and steeplechase talent in Europe.

This year’s meeting boasts a packed schedule, with elite heats in the 800m, 1500m, and men’s 3000m steeplechase alongside national-level 5000m and youth races. The men’s 1500m is shaping up to be the marquee event, with a world-class lineup that includes French standouts Yann Schrub, Alexis Miellet, and Corentin Tixier, alongside Morocco’s Abdellatif Sadiki and Portugal’s José Carlos Pinto.
