Course Map - Melbourne Marathon

The Nike Melbourne Marathon course is a scenic, flat route that takes runners through many of Melbourne's iconic landmarks. The race starts at Batman Avenue, near the Rod Laver Arena, and progresses through the vibrant city streets, including Flinders Street and the famous St Kilda Road.

Runners will pass the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Shrine of Remembrance, and make their way along the coastline near Albert Park Lake. One of the highlights of the course is the long stretch along St Kilda Road, which can feel endless but offers great views as it leads toward Port Phillip Bay. The final kilometers head back into the city, culminating with an exciting lap inside the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), a memorable finish for all participants.

The course is mostly flat, making it ideal for personal bests, though runners will encounter some slight uphill sections, particularly around the Botanic Gardens. The event also features multiple hydration stations and personal drinks stations at key points along the course.
