Course Map - Hyundai Lisbon Half Marathon

The Hyundai Lisbon Half Marathon offers runners one of the most breathtaking and fastest courses in Europe. Covering 21.097 kilometers, the route begins dramatically atop the Vasco da Gama Bridge—Europe’s longest bridge—before descending into the heart of Lisbon and finishing in the historic Praça do Comércio along the Tagus River.

Renowned for its flat and fast profile, the race attracts elite athletes chasing personal bests and recreational runners seeking an unforgettable experience. The course features minimal elevation gain, making it ideal for record attempts and first-time half marathoners alike. Along the way, participants enjoy stunning views of Lisbon’s skyline, modern architecture, and the shimmering waters of the Tagus.

Runners are well-supported throughout the route, with six refreshment stations positioned at approximately 6 km, 9.5 km, 12.5 km, 15 km, 17.6 km, and 20 km, alongside three “cool zones” providing mist showers at 5 km, 15 km, and 18 km. The three-hour time limit allows participants to soak in the atmosphere while maintaining a steady pace through the city’s picturesque avenues.

The finish line at Praça do Comércio delivers a triumphant conclusion amid cheering crowds and historic surroundings. Finishers receive commemorative medals and refreshments while celebrating in one of Lisbon’s most iconic plazas.

With its combination of scenic beauty, smooth logistics, and fast terrain, the Hyundai Lisbon Half Marathon continues to stand out as one of Europe’s premier autumn road races.
