• British 1500m Star Hannah England Retires from Athletics

Great Britain's 1500m runner, Hannah England, announced her retirement from sports on Tuesday.

"The 2019 track season was my last as a competitive athlete, I am so proud of my achievements on the track and even prouder that they were done with integrity and joy."
"It was a privilege to be surrounded by so many talented and wonderfully supportive training partners, coaches and practitioners who bought the best out of me as an athlete and a person.
"There’s no way I can possibly convey the happiness running has given me and want to say a huge thank you to everyone who shared this wonderful journey with me, you are all total rock stars ❤." She wrote on her Instagram page.

During her career as a 1500m runner, England won silver at the 2011 World Championships and took 4th at Moscow World championships in 2013. She also took silver at the 2009 World Athletics Final and won the NCAA title in 2008.
