• Will Claye Sails Beyond 18m Mark at Paris Diamond League

In the final qualifying fixture of the 2019 IAAF Diamond League, Will Claye out-Taylored world and Olympic triple jump champion Christian Taylor to win a thrilling contest at the close of the Meeting de Paris at the Stade Charlety in Paris on Saturday (24) with a meeting record of 18.06m.
New Zealand's Thomas Walsh won the shot put with a meeting record of 22.44m in the first round. He also produced 22.10m, 22.21m and 22.31m throws.
Venezuela's Yulimar Rojas prevailed in the triple jump with 15.05m just 6cm shy off her personal best.
Alysha Newman won the pole vault with a new Canadian pole vault record with 4.82m. She beat Olympic and European champion Katerina Stefanidi who cleared 4.75m.
Cuba’s Denia Caballero, who won the discus with 66.91m ahead of China’s Feng Bin on 64.90m.
