“My team did a really good job of making sure they stayed together and stayed in their own group, one they could trust, the one they train with,” Julian said. "I was on top of them, but they embraced that and stayed safe. That was the first thing I was very pleased with.
“The second is, there is an actual season out there. It’s happening. I think some people don’t want to believe it. But there are meets happening. People are racing hard and trying to get better. We wanted to be a part of that.”
