The World 1500m World Record Holder indoors and outdoors Genzebe Dibaba will try to brake her own 1500m world indoor record at the Copernicus cup in Torun, Poland on February 10.

The 25-year-old Ethiopian who set an unimaginable women's 1500m World record of 3:50.07 in Monaco during 2015 outdoor season will try to brake her own indoor 1500m record of 3:55.17 she set in Karlsruhe 3 years ago.

“3:55.17 is a difficult mark to break, but we have been told that Genzebe is in very good shape,” said meeting director Krzysztof Wolsztynski.

“We will try to do all we can to help her beat the world record – not only will we organise a strong line-up, but she will also be supported by an enthusiastic crowd in Torun.” he added.

Dibaba currently holds 5 world records; 1500m, 1500m indoors, Mile indoors, 3000m indoors and 5000m indoors.

She is reigning 1500m world champion outdoors and 3000m indoors. At the Rio Olympics last August, Dibaba claimed silver medal in the 1500m.
