“It was fantastic for me to get a personal best, but I’m still disappointed to have missed out on the world record,”
“I knew I had trained well and I knew what my strengths were,” said the 2008 Beijing 5000m and 10000m Olympic champipon.
“The Berlin race was fantastic but I could see that I still had to make a couple of changes in my training.” the17-time world chamion Bekele added.
The 2017 Dubai marathon will take place on Friday, January.
The men's coarse record stands at 2:04:23.
