The sensational jump of 17.04m the 18-year-old the World Junior bronze medalist Raffin achieved during an indoor meeting in Aubièr, France on Saturday, Jabuary 7.
Raffin's mark surrpassed his compatriots Teddy Tamgo's, the 2013 World Champion, world junior record by10cm and qualified him for the European Indoor Championships that will take place in March in Serbian capital.
Raffin's new personal best is only 10cm shy of the World Junior outdoor record (17.14m) set by East Germany athlete Volker Mai 32 years ago.
