• David Rudisha retains olympic 800m title in Rio

David Rudisha took the men's 800m title in style and became the first man since 1964 to defend the men's 800m Olympic title on Monday.
The-26-year-old world record holder, Rudisha, by winning 800m gold in Rio in 1:42.15 minutes became one of the one of the greatest 800m runners of all time.
Algeria's London Olympics 1500m champion, Taoufik Makhloufi, took silver with a time of 1:42.61 minutes, while America's Clayton Murphy took a surprise bronze clocking with a new personal best time of 1:42.93 minutes.
Rudisha, who has also won two world titles, becomes the first athlete since New Zealander Peter Snell in 1964 to successfully defend the Olympic 800m title.
