Okagbare wins 200m at Sollentuna Grand Prix

Nigerian track and field star Blessing Okagbare of Nigeria clocked very fast 22.58 to win the women's 200m at the Sollentuna Grand Prix in Sweden on Tuesday, June 28.

The  Olympic Games and World Championships medalist Okagbare cruised to an impressive 200m victory in a new season's best time of  22.58 in Sollentuna. In a distant  second place with a mark of 23.52 finished Pan American medalist Dominican Republic's Mariely Sanchez, while third place with a time of 23.66 took Alexandra Bezekova of Slovakia.

Italy's Benedetti Giordano won the men's 800m in 1:46.66, meanwhile women's 800m winner Sanne Verstegen of Netherlands clocked 2:00.74. 

In the men's 1500m race Morocco's Brahim Kaazouzi clocked 3:36.46 for the win.  Swedish runners Johan Rogestedt and Jonas Leanderson  impressed by setting new personal best marks of 3:36.58 and 3:36.92 to take 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Eritrean-born Swedish runner Meraf Bahta won the women's 1500m race in 4:05.97. 

Eric Cray of Philippines clocked 49.67 seconds to win the men's 400m hurdles.  

Yousef A-Masrahi topped the men's 400m in 45.62 over Olympic games silver medalist Luguelin Santos, who clocked 45.87 seconds.
