Men's 800m: Polish runners topped the 800m races as Adam Kszczot clocked 1:45.77 FTW, while Angelika Cichocka with 1:59.97 won the women's race.
400m Hurdles: Swizz hurdler Hussein Kariem in heat 1 clocked the fastest time of 48.98 seconds. The second fastest time came from heat 2 as Algerian athlete Abdelmalik Lahoulou stopped the clock after 49.48 seconds. Lea Sprunger from Switzerland was the fastest in the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 55.83 seconds.
Long Jump: World and Olympic champion Brittney Reese of the Unites States leaped an impressive 7.04m for the win.
100m: Mike Rodgers (USA) clocked 10.04 seconds to beat his compatriot Walter Dix by 0.09 seconds. Bulgarian sprint star Ivet Lalova topped the women's 100m in 11.20 seconds.
5000m: Kenyan athletes took the top 5 positions with Cornelius Kangogo narrowly defeating Victor Chumo with a time of 13:12.54.
100m Hurdles: American pair Cristi Catlin and Janay Deloach went 1-2 in the 100mH final clocking 12.75 and 12.89 respectively.
110m Hurdles: Men's 110m hurdles turned out very dramatic as the difference between 1st and 5th place was separated by only 0.05 second. Great Britain's David John Alexander took the win with a fast 13.35 seconds with Serbian hurdler Milan Ristic in second in 13.37. Virgin Islands Eddie Lovett concluded the podium with a time of 13.38 seconds.
