After the pacemaker dropped out of the race at 700m Alsadik took the lead to the men's 1500m in a new personal best time of 3:32.30. It was the first race this year for the 25-year-old Bahraini runner. Spanish runner David Bustos clocked 3:36.14 to dipp under the Olympic standard. Norway's Filip Ingebrigtsen finished in third position in a new personal best of 3:36.21 but missed the Olympic mark by 0.01 seconds.
Other top marks in the meeting include Margaret's Wambui win in the women's 800m in 1:59.54 with Jenny Meadows (GBR) in second in 2:01.43. Men's 800m was won by Edwin Melly of Kenya in 1:45:43.
Cornelius Kangogo won the men's 5000m in 13:10.83. Spaniard Ilias Fifa was second in 13:11.83 fastest time in 2016 in Europe.
Australia's Amish Peacock threw 83.17m for the win and hit the Rio Olympic standard.
