World Champion Genzebe Diababa withdrew from this weekend's Diamond League meet in Eugene after she picked up a toe injury.

Dibaba, who was scheduled to run the 5000m on Friday  May 27 at Hayward Field, was forced to withdraw from the meeting after she injured her toe during a training.

Last year at the same meet, Dibaba clocked a fenomenal meeting record and one of the fastest times ever  in history in the 5000m of 14:19.76. Dibaba was planning to beat that mark at the race on Friday.

Viola Kibiwot of Kenya, who set her PB and the second fastest time this year in the world of 14:29.50 last week in Rabat, will be the favourite to win the women's 5000m.
