Holzdeppe beats Lavillenie and Barber

Former world champion Raphael Holzdeppe (GER) beat world record holder Renaud Lavillenie (FRA) and defending world champion Shawn Barber (CAN) on Saturday night at the French Elite Pole vault meet in Rouen, France.

The 2013 pole vault world champion Holzdeppe cleared 4.84m on his second attempt to win his second meeting this indoor season.

Behind Holzdeppe with a mark of 5.77m was 2012 world indoor champion Kostas Fillipidis of Greece while podium concluded Frenchmen Kevin Menaldo 5.77m.

Meanwhile, world record holder Renaud  Lavillenie settled in 4th place with a mark of 5.70m, while world champion Shawn Barber, who two weeks ago set his PB of 6.00m, was 5th  with 5.70m.

 The women's elite pole vault competition won by Greece's Nikolete Kiriakoupoulu who cleared 4.71m. Switzerlands Nicole Buchler jumped 4.48m to take second, while Finland's Minna Nikannenn took third pace with a mark of 4.38m.
