Kenyans Kemboi and Ochichi win Cape Town Marathon

Battling hot and humid weather conditions, Shadrack Kemboi from Kenya took the win at the second edition of the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon on Sunday September 20. 

 

Kemboi crossed the line in 2:11:41 ahead of South Africans  Lungile Gongqa  2:11:59 and Michael Mazibuko 2:12:29. 

Kenya's Isabella Ochichi from Kenya was victorious in the women's race clocking 2:30:20 and beating  Bahrain's Eunice Chumba 2:33:12 and Ethiopian Jemila Shure 2:37:45.
