Harrison wins Pan Am 100m hurdles gold with a new championships record

USA's hurdler Queen Harrison was the crowned Pan American Games champion in the women's 100m hurdles in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday, July 21.

The 26-year-old Harrison won the 100m hurdles smashing the Pan American record  with a time of  12.52 seconds. The time is the  third best performance all time for the American. Harrison's compatriot Tenaya Jones (12.84) took silver medal edging  Canada's Nikkita Holder (12.85).

Canadians took top two positions in the men's 3000m steeple with Mat Hughes winning gold in 3:32.18 ahead of Alexandre Genest 8:33.83. American steepler Cory Leslie took bronze with a time of 8:36.83.

Canadian's celebrated another victory last night as Mohammed  Ahmed took gold in the men's 10000m race with a  time of 28:49.96. Aron Luis of the United States took silver ahead of Mexico's Luis Barrios 28:51.57.
