Bolt to run at Jamaican Championships

World's fastest man Usain Bolt will compete next weekend at Jamaican world championships trials , the JAAA confirmed on Sunday (21).

 

Usain Bolt after a sluggish 200m win at New York Diamond league meet said that he might as well compete at Jamaican championships.

 The 6-time Olympic sprint champion, Bolt, will contest in the 100m at Jamaican championships on Friday, June 26. 

Also in the 100m  and 200m starts list is former 100m champion Yohan Blake, who recently returned to action after recovering from last year's hamstring injury. Blake at last weekends All-Comers meet in Kingston celebrated 100m victory posting a modest 10.21 seconds. 

Fraser-Pryce, this year’s second fastest women in the 100m, is entered in both sprints at the trials.

Jamaican national track and field championships will take place in Kingston June 25-28.
