Russia beats Germany at European Team Championships

RUSSIA convincingly beat Germany to win the European Athletics Championships Team title in Cheboksary at the weekend - 20- 21 June.

The host country garnered the most number of 368.5 points to lift the team trophy. Germany who were the champions last year finished second with 346.5 points.

France deservedly finished third place with 319 points. They narrowly edged Poland who collected  317 while Great Britain were down in fifth place with 291 points.

Next in line in sixth place was Italy on 288 points, Ukraine -  seventh on 281.5 points, Spain - eighth on 230 points, Belarus - ninth on 217 points, Sweden - 10th on 187 points, Finland - 11th on 149.5 points and Norway - 12th on 121 points.
