Okakbare Takes Second Gold by Winning 200m

Nigeria's Blessing Okakbare, who won 100m with a blistering 10.85 seconds on Wednesday, added her second Commonwealth Games gold after she won the 200m final in Hampden park on Thursday night.


The-25-year old Nigerian stormed to her second victory in these Commonwealth games with a time of 22.25 seconds defeating two England sprinters Jodie Williams, who clocked 22.50 and the 21 year old Bianca Williams who posted 22.58.

The second gold for Nigeria in the same day night came from 18-year-old Ese Brume, who jumped 6.56 meters to win the women's long jump final. Jazmin Sawyers of England won silver with a leap of 6.54 meters, while podium concluded Christabel Netty who manged 6.49 meters.
