Kirani James to Lead Grenadas' Commonwealth Games Team

London Olympics 400m champion Kirani James was included on Wednesday in Grenadas' 16 member team - participating in athletics, boxing and swimming - in this years' Commonwealth Games that will take place in Glasgow, Scotland from July 23 - August 3.

James who set a youth Commonwealth Games 400m record back in 2008 of 46.66 seconds will be looking to break Iwan Tomas' Commonwealth record of 44.52 from 1998.

The 21 year old James set a new Personal best and world leading time of 43.74 seconds beating his biggest rival Lashawn Merritt (43.92) on July 3 in Diamond League Lausanne.
