Bekele Debuts With 2:05.03 in Paris

The world record holder in 5000m and 10000m, Kenenisa Bekele, in his first marathon race in his running career set a new Paris marathon course record with a time of 2:05.01.

The second place took Limenih Getachew with a time of 2:06.48, while the men's podium concluded Luka Kanda with 2:07.59.

The women's race winner Flomen Cheychen of Kenya posted a time of 2:22.41 with Yebrgual Mlese in second clocking 2:26.18. The third place finisher Ahmed Zemzem posted a time of 2:29.34.
